Scanner Appeal 2006/2009

Multiscan machines are the focus of our fund-raising.
These portable multipurpose ultrasonic scanners will help monitor bladder, kidney & prostate cancers.

In Sept 2006 we presented our first Portable Scanner to the Oncology Department at K&C Hospital

Since then and up to Oct. 2009 we have presented nine similar pieces of equipment to various Hospitals in Kent.

On 8-Mar-2010 we gave a presentation to King Edward VII Lodge, in Gillingham, and we were presented with
a very welcome Cheque towards to cost of our next Scanner

Our second scanner to Maidstone Hospital, Urology department,  was presented to Mr Paul Reddy,
Consultant Urologist and Lead Nurse Lesley Baxter,
with members of PSA Kent, members of Local Masonic Lodge
and Local Rotarians and friends - Jan 2010

 

 


The last one was a Urodyn 1000 urine flow machine, to the Kent & Canterbury Hospital and used for both men and women

Sometimes the Hospitals require other equipment, in addition to Scanners,
like the Wheelchair we provided the Cathedral Rooms, at the K & C Hospital.(Nov '09)

Our presentation to Christine Richards at Oncology Department at Maidstone Hospital
on July 15th 2009. We were supported by several members of our Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Groups,
as well as members of local Rotary and Masonic Lodges.

 

In May 09, Graham Edwards presented a Portable Scanner to
Julie Hendry of the Oncology Department at the K & C Hospital, Canterbury

 

Oct. 29th '08, we presented our 5th Scanner to a 'Splash of Urologists' at
the Kent & Canterbury Hospital. Most of the senior Consultants and some
of their staff were present when the whole of our membership assisted
